My Name is Ampha Prombunchoo
I have been living in Australia for 8 years. I have studied cooking and business at University in both Sydney and Melbourne and worked in The Star Platinum Kitchen in Sydney Casino for 3 Years.
Growing up in Tak in Thailand (5 hours north of Bangkok and 3 hours south of Chiang Mai) in a small town. I learnt at a very young age of how to cook from my mum and my grandmother. They are amazing Thai traditional cooks who spend all day preparing and cooking for their husbands who work in the farm growing fresh produce.
My cooking is based on all the methods my family has taught me which they still use to this day in Northern Thailand using many herbs and spices in Thai cuisine that have beneficial medicinal.
Starting my own cooking classes in Sydney is a fun and unique way for others to understand the Thai culture through my food teaching.
I specialise in Northern Thai cuisine and offer catering for small parties and large parties up to 50 guests. * please contact me to discuss.
